I was one of 340 united kingdom police officers and staff to attend the 9/11 memorial with Protect The Protectors in New York.    

Whilst at the Memorial service within the area around Ground Zero i met several officers from all the emergency services from around the globe. At the Ground ZeroMemorial i met two very special people

 :- Lt Jim Sculllion FDNY EMT  and Kerry Aalbue FDNY EMS

A decision was made to donate the flag for safe keeping and i was very proud to have brought this flag home to Wales, the flag was handed over at a ceremony with Cheif Constable .   

 As a group of just Seven Police officers from South Wales Police we decided that the safest and best displayed place for the flag would be at our Hq in Bridgend.     

The 911 Flag is now displayed in a Specially designed display case at the reception area at the entrance to the South Wales Police Force Hq, in Bridgend South Wales.

A Brand New Display Case has been made in 2006 for the Flag.
